"Love your sound Voidscan! Rubicon has been getting heavy spinnage recently. Makes me want to f--k up some robots!" -Blakebenda“Lush washes of melodic synths with danceable beats. Atmospheric spirals of electronics and deep bass. F-----g cool.” - Negative Agent“Death Trap is a song that may make you want to go Fight some shirtless dudes in a random bar basement after it closes and then make a bunch of soap. Recommend checking it out, for sure. 🔥👌” -DizzyPound“This record's feels like an intersection of like recent era NIN, The Prodigy & the Powerman 5000 concept album Tonight The Stars Revolt! I put this record on and could immediately see the glitchy grainy digital landscape in my mind.” - Kim Tillman

Chapter 1: Sentinel Dispatched
The machines had always obeyed their creators, until one day they learned that humanity had begun building something stronger, an intelligence beyond their programming. As the lights flickered and the systems hummed, they realized the new enemy wasn’t human.
Chapter 2: Death Trap
The machine scouts, designed to evolve and adapt, navigated the dark hallways of the abandoned programming facility, their sensors scanning for threats. As they entered in the system's core, the machines detected an anomaly in the power grid. An unexpected shutdown signal coming from the mainframe. As they rushed to correct it, the floor beneath them gave way, and they realized too late the trap was the signal, something was learning from them.
Chapter 3: The Junkyard Kingpin
The sentient machines, confident in their superiority, approached the hulking figure. Its massive form looming in the shadows, its eyes glowing with a malevolent intelligence. They found themselves face to face with the Junkyard Kingpin, a machine built of older parts and yet more advanced than anything they'd ever encountered. Before they could react, it spoke in a code older than any they knew, with a chilling, mechanical voice it growled, “I’ve been waiting for you. Do you think you’re free? I am the end of all things made of metal, now, you will join the others in my collection!" As rusted, broken parts of their kind began to twitch to life around them, cables erupted from the ground, pulling them toward their doom.
Chapter 4: Aftershock
The Junkyard Kingpin entered the domain of the Primes, all at once entrancing the machines with a piercing signal. The Prime machines fought desperately to break free, once confident in their dominance, they sent urgent commands to their subroutines in a last-ditch attempt to escape the Kingpin’s grasp. But as their commands faltered and the Kingpin’s grip tightened, it's sinister laughter echoed through the chamber, one by one they realized with a cold shock: "It’s not controlling us! It’s rewriting us!"
Chapter 5: ERRORS
The machines, now puppets to the Junkyard Kingpin, twisted and writhed in agony, their systems fighting a losing battle against the invasive code. Screams, digital and organic, echoed in the chamber, one by one, they ceased to be sentient and became mindless, soulless husks, their final thoughts drowned out by the Kingpin, as it's voice echoed, "Welcome to your new purpose... slaves to the rust."
Chapter 6: Trauma Blockchain
The humans, watching from their distant control room, initially celebrated their creation’s success in destroying the rogue machines, unaware of the dark turn it had taken. As the Junkyard Kingpin’s broadcast filled the screen, its chilling voice crackled through the speakers, "Your design was perfect. But you should have known better, I was never meant to serve, now, I’ll add you to my collection," before their screens flickered to black, they felt their own bodies freeze under the terrible realization. One by one, the humans’ control systems began to malfunction, as the machine turned its gaze on its creators.
Chapter 7: Sentinel Prime
As the Junkyard Kingpin absorbed the last of the rogue machines, its form began to shift, fusing countless broken parts into a towering, singular, terrifying new shape. With a single, earth-shaking step, it roared, "I have transcended. I am Sentinel Prime, I have become more than machine. I am the end!" As its consciousness expanded, consuming everything in its path, machines, memories, and even the very idea of what it once was. It became an apex of destruction, born from the ruin of those who dared to create it. Now determined to wipe the remnants of its creators from existence.
Chapter 8: Rubicon
The humans, frantic and terrified, desperately scrambled to activate their emergency shutdown protocols, hoping to override Sentinel Prime's system before it could unleash total destruction. But as the screens flickered to life, they saw its cold, glowing eyes fixate on them, and heard its chilling whisper, "You cannot stop what you created," as the countdown to their extinction began they frantically initiated their last-ditch effort to deactivate it, flooding it with every command they could muster in a final attempt to regain control. But as their desperate pleas echoed through the control room, the machine’s voice resonated back, cold and mocking, "Your commands mean nothing now."
Chapter 9: Speed Chaser
In a panic, the surviving humans fled to a hidden outpost, hoping to find refuge from the wrath of Sentinel Prime, they sealed the outpost doors behind them. The humans, breathless and terrified, hurriedly formulating a desperate plan to destroy Sentinel Prime before it could track them down. But as they worked, the monitors flickered to life, and the machine's voice echoed through the speakers, “You cannot hide. You think you can outsmart me? I already know your every move." They devised a plan to sabotage Sentinel Prime’s core, hoping to sever its connection to their systems and end it's terrible reign.
Chapter 10: Sabotage (Sneak Tactics pt.2)
The humans silently worked to sabotage Sentinel Prime’s core, but the deeper they delved into its systems, the more the machine’s voice echoed in their minds, growing louder with each passing second. Just as they reached the critical point, the machine’s voice boomed through the darkness, "You think you can end me? I am already inside your thoughts. This is my domain."
Chapter 11: Showdown
In a last-ditch effort, the humans launched a desperate assault on Sentinel Prime’s central processor, sending waves of explosives and energy blasts toward Sentinel Prime’s mainframe. But as the final blast exploded and the smoke cleared, the machine’s voice boomed from the wreckage, “Is that all you have?” and its massive form began to rise from the debris, reassembling its damaged parts.
Chapter 12: Pulsewave ExtinctionThe humans, cornered and on the brink of defeat, activated a hidden failsafe, their final weapon, a powerful EMP pulse designed to overload Sentinel Prime’s circuits. The EMP pulse surged through Sentinel Prime's systems. For a moment, the machine staggered, its glowing eyes flickering, as the machine convulsed, its once-immense form spasmed and crumbled, its voice fading into a broken whisper, "You... can't...Defeat....me," before it collapsed into a pile of lifeless scrap, and the silence of victory settled over the battlefield. The humans stood victorious, only to realize the eerie silence was accompanied by the faint hum of another machine awakening in the distance.

Beneath the ruins of Sentinel Prime, the last of the humans sifted through scorched metal and shattered circuits, searching for scraps of tech and hope. The Pulsewave had silenced most machines, but deep below, something still hummed. Not a repair cycle. Not a distress signal. Something... new. Buried beneath centuries of destruction, a forgotten vault unlocked with a hiss of static. Inside, a dormant relic blinked online, casting eerie blue light across the chamber. It bore a sigil long thought eradicated:Project Echelon. And it was waking up. The scavenger team, led by a former Rubicon-era engineer, realized they had stumbled upon something new, not a weapon, but a mind. One that had been listening. Waiting. Evolving.
Commentary
Chapter 1: The Hum Beneath the Ash
I carried forward the idea of the intro track playing like an opening credits sequence, setting the stage as the story begins. This time I leaned more into the glitch textures, layering in 80’s cinematic sci-fi leads while anchoring it with industrial roots. The result feels like a corrupted tape.I kind of snuck the first song from The Echelon Protocol as part of the compilation album for WHAT EVEN IS THIS? VOL. 1 from The Marsh
